Veteran's Assisted Living Services

VA benefit - Improved Pension with Aid & Attendance is designed to provide financial assistance to wartime veterans or their surviving spouse who lack the funds necessary to pay for the assistance they require with routine activities of daily living.

This is a tax-free benefit that pays up to: $1,949 for Veteran & Spouse, $1,644 for a Single Veteran and $1,056 for a Surviving Spouse.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Did the veteran serve active duty during time of war?
  • Is financial assistance required to pay for the care you need?
  • Does the veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran require assistance from other people with activities of daily living?
  • Will the assistance from other people be paid for on an ongoing basis?
  • Was the surviving spouse married to the veteran at the time of death?

 If the answers to the following questions are “Yes”, you may be eligible for this financial assistance program through the Department of Veterans Affairs.
